This Privacy Policy explains how Budgey Platforms, LLC(“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use Quit the Zits(the “Service”). Because the Service involves photos of your face and information related to your skin, we treat that data with particular care. By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide

  • Account details — your name, email, and password (passwords are stored hashed, never in plain text).
  • Skin photos — the selfies and product images you upload for analysis.
  • Profile & skin information — details you choose to share such as skin type, concerns, goals, age range, location/climate, and any sensitivities, medications, or conditions you enter to improve your recommendations.
  • Your shelf — the products you tell us you own or use.
  • Support & communications — messages you send us.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage and device data — such as scan history, check-ins, log data, and basic device/browser information used to operate and secure the Service.

Payment information

Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. We do not collect or store your full payment card number; Stripe handles that and shares limited information with us (such as your subscription status and a customer identifier).

2. Sensitive Information

Your photos and skin-related details may be considered sensitive information and, in some jurisdictions, may be regulated as biometric or health-related data. We use this information only to provide the Service to you — to analyze your skin, generate and adapt your routine, and track your progress. We do not sell this information, and we do not use it for advertising. Where required by law, we rely on your consent to process this information, which you may withdraw by deleting the data or your account.

3. How We Use Information

  • To provide, personalize, and improve the Service;
  • To run AI analysis of your photos and information and generate your routine and guidance;
  • To manage your account, subscription, and billing;
  • To send service-related communications (e.g., reminders, account, and transactional messages);
  • To maintain security, prevent fraud, and comply with the law.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us operate the Service, under contracts that limit their use of it:

  • xAI — processes your photos and information to perform the AI skin analysis and generate recommendations.
  • Stripe — processes payments and manages subscriptions.
  • Cloudflare — stores your uploaded images.
  • Hosting & database providers — host the application and store your account data.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our Terms, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (with notice where required).

5. Data Retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You can delete individual scans/photos or your entire account. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we must retain it to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.

6. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR or California's CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. You can exercise many of these rights directly in the app (editing your profile, deleting scans, or deleting your account) or by contacting us at privacy@quitthezits.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and hashed passwords. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. International Transfers

We and our service providers may process and store your information in countries other than where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by reasonable means and update the “Last updated” date above.
